Terms of Service

Mahprotocol

Draft notice. These Terms are a working draft for review and must be reviewed by a qualified Pakistani lawyer before launch. They are not legal advice.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Mahprotocol (the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Mahprotocol.

1. What Mahprotocol is

Mahprotocol is a marketplace that connects homeowners and clients with architects, builders, contractors, and material vendors in Pakistan. We provide the platform, verification, and tools that help members find and work with one another. We are not a party to the contracts or work agreed between members, and we are not a construction company, contractor, or builder ourselves.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
  • You must be of legal age and have the authority to enter these Terms.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe involve fraud or misuse.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false information or impersonate any person or business.
  • Post unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or harmful content.
  • Submit fake or manipulated verification documents.
  • Post reviews that are not based on a real, completed engagement.
  • Attempt to bypass the Platform, scrape data, or disrupt its security or operation.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other members.

4. Verification

Verification badges are issued only after our team manually reviews a member's documents. A badge indicates that we reviewed the documents provided — it is not a guarantee of the quality, safety, or outcome of any member's work. You are responsible for your own due diligence before hiring or engaging anyone.

5. Obligations of professionals and vendors

  • Provide accurate credentials, portfolios, and service descriptions.
  • Hold and maintain any licences or registrations required by law for your work.
  • Honour the commitments, timelines, and pricing you agree with a client.
  • Comply with applicable laws, safety standards, and professional regulations.
  • For vendors (when the marketplace launches): describe products accurately and fulfil orders as agreed.

6. Payments and milestones

In the current phase, Mahprotocol provides milestone tracking only. Payments are arranged and made directly between clients and professionals — Mahprotocol does not hold, transfer, or release funds. Secure escrow and online payments will be introduced only in a later phase, after the required legal and State Bank of Pakistan compliance review, and will be governed by additional terms at that time.

7. Reviews and content

You keep ownership of content you post, and you grant Mahprotocol a licence to host and display it as needed to run the Platform. Reviews may only be left for real, completed engagements. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not guarantee the conduct, quality, or work of any member. Any engagement you enter with another member is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mahprotocol will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for disputes, work, or transactions between members. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Mahprotocol at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Platform and its members.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date, and continued use means you accept the changes.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan will have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them.
